is André PELAT?

André
PELAT was born on August 8, 1962 in Alès (France)
Impassioned at 14 years, it assiduously studies the
musical theory and the traditional guitar then the guitar jazz,
the low one and the harmony with various professors of the academy
of Marseilles.
In parallel, it plays in the orchestras of dance and the
groups of rock'n'roll or jazz in the south of France.
Impassioned and avid of knowknowing and experiment,
it is tested with all the styles of music which it meets and plays
with many musicians.
It aquiert thus a technical solid musical. Since its beginnings,
it improvises and composes songs and pieces for the guitar. |
In
1980 Andre PELAT discovers the Chapman Stick.
Extremely of its allied technique to its talent, nine
months later, success is immediate in the Jazz-Clubs of Sète
city 5(france). |

In 1988, Roberto TRICARRI, allured by its originality,
invites André PELAT to take part in the composition and the
arrangement of the music of the silent film "Tramp Tramp Tramp",
for creation" CINEMA CONCERT".
This experience will be played during two years in trio (Piano,
Accordion, Stick and Saxophone, at the time of a Nationale round:
Festival of Avigon, of Dijon, Island of the Reunion ... |

 In
1990, its career in Stick-Solo is expressed through Jazz repertory,
in the Festivals and the Jazz-Clubs of Toulouse, like in a "Classical"
register in the churches of Ariège and in "Concert-Discovery"
of the instrument, for the pupils of the schools of Lot and the
Garonne (France).

Later, he
chooses the formula in DUET with various drummers, for a music Jazz-rock-Latin,
interpreted in the Jazz-Clubs of Hérault and the Festival
"Pour en rire" at Fraïsse on Agoût (France). |
He
takes part in the creation of Association Stick
Découverte which proposes "demonstration-discoveries"
of the instrument.
He occurs within the Training course Internationnal de Stick
in Belgium, Academy of BEZIERS, BEZIERS, BEDARRIEUX... |

 He
meets Henry MARTY, player of musical saw Ensemble, they form the
Florilège group in a repertory of classical music and contemporary,
interpreted in round during 4 years in the South of France.
He takes part in the creation of the Company of Theatre
"l'Art à tatouille" of Alain Beurrier, in particular
in the arrangement of traditional musics, in round in 1995, in
the Artisanal Fairs of Hérault (France).

Andre
PELAT while continuing a career of Solo Stickplayer, duet (with
Jean-Brice
VIETRI)and trio is with the mounting of all the amusing
musical meetings of the life as with the performance of the Stick
Trio 27 June 2003 in the "Luz de Gas" of Barcelona
with Guillermo Cidès, Jim Lampi
and Ron Bagerman.
André
PELAT is called of share the world to teach the Chapman Stick
and the taping in master class or run formal, and to give concerts.
Among the last experiments which it carried out:
Master Class with the Center Stick in Spain in June 2003.
Teacher with the training course of tape guitar of Neuchateau (Belgium)
in July 2003. (like in July 2001)
Teacher in Swiss Seminar Stick September 2003 recommended by Emmett
Chapman and Ron Baggerman.
Teacher with the master class of the Festival of Tape Guitar of Allaire
(France) in November 2003.
In 2003 it meets Bob Culberson with the Center Stick.
Allured by Andre PELAT, Bob Culberson
invites it like teacher in Word Stick Séminar in November 2003
in San José in California.
It
is consequently recognized by its pars like a virtuoso of the Chapman
stick in particular for its interpretations of traditional works of
F.Chopin, W.A.Mozart, A.Vivaldi, of standards of jazz and personal compositions
specific to the Chapman Stick
